Ancient Art of Story Telling
Your iPod is gone, the computer crashed, the TV died, no cell phone, no more electricity, no books, no writing......so what do you and your friends do to entertain yourself as you sit around the fire in a cave. You revert to a time honoured tradition that goes back to the dawn of human civilization. STORYTELLING. Stories about the adventures you had that day, the big one that got away, tales of morality and caution, tales about a mythical time when the gods had recording devices, drove in four wheeled machines and flew through the sky like the birds. Tall tales, short tales, horror stories that keep the children and adults awake at night when the fire dies down, tales that make you laugh, tales that make you cry........
And, at the Empress Theatre, we are still indulging in that time honored tradition of Storytelling. Whether you are a youngster or an adult, everybody enjoys a good story. So come to our campfire at the Empress and be entertained. And maybe you can tell us a tall tale of the one that got away... ;)
